KÖSTER Symposium 2010 - [1999-11-30]
During the 4th and the 7th of August 2010 the international KÖSTER Symposium was held at KÖSTER headquarters in Aurich, bringing together construction professionals from all over the world. For 3 days KÖSTER partners and waterproofing specialists from various countries were able to exchange practical experiences and discuss the latest market trends of the waterproofing industry.

The main topics during this year´s KÖSTER Symposium were concrete protection, concrete repair and new technologies for the waterproofing of civil engineering  structures. Speakers from 7 different nations contributed to the success of this event and gave the audience an insight into new developments and techniques of the waterproofing industry. Among the excellent speakers KÖSTER was very proud to welcome outstanding and renowned concrete experts like Prof. Dr. Ing. Bern Hillemeier (picture) and Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Karsten Schubert from the Technical University of Berlin at its symposium.
These presentations and discussions were complemented by practical demonstrations of new KÖSTER systems for concrete protection (KÖSTER Bridge Coat, a protection of concrete under asphalt that withstands up to 180°C; KÖSTER PUR-Bitumen, a universal protection of mineral substrate against acids; KÖSTER CMC, a protection of mineral substrates and steel against acids from pH 0 to 14.), concrete repair (KÖSTER Sewer and Shaft Mortar, fast setting, chemically and mechanically highly resistant; KÖSTER Repair Mortar NC, fiber reinforced, excellent workability, good adhesion to mineral substrates) and waterproofing (KÖSTER Elastic Roof, a liquid waterproofing membrane for roofs that is flexible and resistant).
